Do I have to pull my own credit report?

No. Once you give POPIA consent at sign-up, your report is drawn for you and your dashboard fills in automatically. You can also refresh it yourself once per calendar month.

How often does my dashboard update?

Your score, tasks and balances refresh every time you open the dashboard, and again automatically whenever a payment or settlement is recorded. A fresh bureau report is drawn once a month.

What score do I need?

620 for home loan readiness and 590 for vehicle finance readiness. Your dashboard shows your score against that target at all times.

How is my affordability worked out?

We calculate your repayment at 12.50% — the 10.50% base rate plus a 2% stress buffer — over 20 years for a home loan or 5 years for vehicle finance, then compare it to 30% (home) or 20% (vehicle) of what you earn.

Can I get a personal loan if I am not buying a home or a car?

Yes. Choose Personal Loan on the home page when you sign up. Once you are a member you can request an unsecured or short-term loan from your dashboard, where you will see an estimated monthly repayment before you apply.

How is a personal loan priced?

On National Credit Regulator rules, including the once-off initiation fee and the monthly service fee. Your dashboard shows an estimated monthly repayment; our team confirms the exact figures after your credit and affordability check.

If I take a consolidation loan, do I receive the money?

Accepted Answer

No, and that is deliberate. Approved funds are paid directly to each creditor on your list. We then collect the closure letter for every account and track it until the bureau reflects it.

Why do you ask me to connect my salary account?

Three months of salary-account activity lets us verify what you really earn and already repay, instead of relying on figures you type in. Verified numbers replace your declared numbers once the account is linked.

How does the referral commission work?

Every member gets a unique invite link. You earn R29.85 for each friend, every month that friend stays subscribed. Seven paying friends cover your R199 subscription, and every friend above seven is guaranteed earnings. Payouts run monthly with a downloadable statement.

Can I join only to earn commission?

Yes. Choose Earn Commission on the home page. You pay the same R199 a month, get the full dashboard, and can pick a home or vehicle goal later if you want one.

Is my information safe?

Your consent is recorded and every credit report access is logged. We will never ask for your banking password or a one-time PIN — nobody from our team has any reason to request them.

When do I get my pre-approval certificate?

It unlocks only when you are 100% ready: adverse accounts cleared, score at or above your target, and affordability passing the stress test.

What if I am under debt review or administration?

You can still join and use most of Saneli Financial Foundations, but your pre-approval certificate stays locked until you are fully cleared. Your dashboard includes an exit-plan tracker where you record your debt counsellor or administrator details, tick off clearance documents and request a final review.

Can Saneli Financial Foundations remove me from debt review?

Accepted Answer

No. We are not a debt counsellor or administrator. Our tool helps you track the steps while you work with your registered counsellor or attorney. Once you are cleared, we can offer a consolidation loan and unlock your pre-approval certificate if you qualify.
